The first LidSUMMIT Tyrol 2025 will provide highly specialised knowledge in aesthetic and reconstructive eyelid surgery. An application for accreditation for the event has already been submitted to ensure a well-founded further development for specialist participants.

The course utilizes a total of 120 Scientific Body Donors from the Institute of Clinical and Functional Anatomy and advanced 3D-printed models, simulating diverse pathologies. This "less talk, more hands-on" approach hones essential motoric skills while preparing participants to earn CME credit and excel in future surgical expertise.

Univ.-Prof. Dr. med. univ. Marko Konschake is a renowned anatomist and the Director of the Institute for Clinical and Functional Anatomy at the Medical University of Innsbruck. He specializes in applied, clinical, and functional anatomy, focusing on surgical anatomy and medical education. Under his leadership, the institute has gained international recognition for its advancements in anatomical education and research, particularly through the integration of digitalization and innovative approaches to improve patient care.

Matus Rehak, PhD

Univ.-Prof. Dr. Matus Rehak, PhD, is a renowned ophthalmologist and the Director of the University Clinic for Ophthalmology and Optometry at the Medical University of Innsbruck. He specializes in retinal vascular diseases, such as diabetic retinopathy and retinal vein occlusion, and has led significant research initiatives to improve treatments for these conditions. Dr. Rehak has held leadership positions at prestigious institutions, including the University Hospital Giessen and the Charité in Berlin, and has made substantial contributions to ophthalmic research and patient care.

Ao. Univ.-Prof. Dr. Anton Schwabegger, MSc, is a leading specialist in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery. He has extensive clinical experience, over 100 scientific publications, and has presented at numerous international conferences. Dr. Schwabegger holds an additional diploma in Hand Surgery and has trained internationally in locations such as Glasgow, Bordeaux, and Detroit. He is also known for his humanitarian missions, performing surgeries for children with severe malformations and burn scars in countries like Niger and India. He is currently the Director of the University Clinic for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Institute Innsbruck, which offers a wide range of surgical services.
